We collect the minimum needed to sell you a license and let you activate it: your email and purchase record (via our payment processor, Polar), and your plugin's hardware ID (to enforce your license's activation limit). We don't run analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising cookies on this site, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone except the processors named below who need it to do their job.
Checkout is handled entirely by Polar, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details — Polar does, under its own PCI-compliant handling. Polar passes us your email address and order ID so we can issue and look up your license.
The plugin generates a hardware ID from your machine (not tied to any personal identifier beyond your device) and sends it, with your email and license code, to our activation service to redeem an activation slot. We store the hardware ID, your email, and the order ID in our database (hosted on Cloudflare D1) so the plugin can verify your license offline afterward and so we can help you if you need to move your license to a new machine.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, keeps standard server access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention, on its own standard retention schedule — we don't separately collect or read these logs. Our activation service briefly records your IP address to rate-limit repeated requests and prevent abuse; these rate-limit records are short-lived and not used for tracking.
We don't use cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers of any kind on this site.
We don't sell your data. We don't send marketing email — there's no mailing list to opt into, and purchase/license emails are transactional only. We don't share your information with anyone beyond the processors named on this page, except where required by law.
Polar (polar.sh) — payment processing and order records. See Polar's privacy policy.
Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — site hosting, our activation service, and the database that stores license/activation records. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Want to know what we have on file, or want it deleted? Email us and we'll sort it out — deleting your activation record just means you'll need to reactivate on next launch with your license code. We don't retain data longer than needed to support your purchase and license.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of a Shades Of Toast plugin or this site after a change means you accept the update.
